SCHOTT UK Ltd is the sales subsidiary of SCHOTT, with headquarters in Mainz, central Germany. Based in Stafford for over 30 years, the company handles sales, marketing and distribution for specialist glass including solar panel technology. SCHOTT chose to set up in Staffordshire due to its central location, excellent infrastructure and strong skills base.

There are currently over 80,000 ‘hot water’ solar thermal collectors installed on UK homes. SCHOTT manufactures a solar thermal tube collector which is highly efficient for the UK climate. These collectors are equally suitable for commercial and public sector organisations such as schools, universities, hospitals and office blocks, offering savings of up to 60% on hot water costs.

Staffordshire’s emerging renewable energies cluster creates an ideal platform for SCHOTT’s data sourcing, discussing ideas and sharing information with other companies within the sector.

For the future, SCHOTT is committed to providing RIBA approved CPD training to architects and is keen to develop interest amongst plumbers and electricians in the installation of their products range.
